Mechanical Engineer

Job description

• Receive technical needs from production and analyze mechanical issues involving machines, structures, fixtures and auxiliary equipment used in manufacturing and assembly.
• Design, evaluate and improve mechanical components, fixtures, positioning and clamping mechanisms to support operability, accuracy and process stability.
• Prepare or update technical drawings, assembly drawings, parts lists and mechanical work instructions within the assigned scope.
• Work with production, process/equipment engineering, quality and maintenance teams to identify root causes of issues related to mechanisms, fixtures, dimensional deviations and equipment stability.
• Propose, test and evaluate structural modifications or fixture improvements, and track their results before wider implementation.
• Support mechanical installation, alignment, trial runs and acceptance of new equipment or fixtures, and resolve issues arising during deployment.
• Monitor assigned mechanical items and coordinate preventive maintenance or replacement of parts that may cause downtime or quality issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and machining vendors to clarify drawings, specifications and technical requirements, and inspect or verify fabricated parts and fixtures.
• Participate in mechanical safety, operability and maintainability risk reviews and propose appropriate preventive actions.
• Control drawing revisions and design-change records; document causes, solutions and validation outcomes and hand over information to relevant teams.
• Track assigned mechanical improvement activities and report technical, material and schedule constraints.
• Communicate in Chinese with relevant teams to coordinate work and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Good Chinese proficiency for work communication and technical discussions.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and explain technical specifications for parts, assemblies or fixtures.
• Understanding of mechanical mechanisms, with the ability to analyze problems and suggest practical shop-floor improvements.
• Ability to work cross-functionally on trials, adjustments and deployment of mechanical solutions.
