Production Shift Leader – Urgent

Job description

• Receive the shift production plan and allocate manpower, machines and work areas based on output and delivery targets.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and end-of-shift handovers, communicating output targets, quality and safety alerts, and outstanding issues.
• Supervise compliance with work instructions, process standards and shop-floor rules; promptly correct nonconforming operations.
• Track shift output, schedule attainment, productivity and operating status; record deviations from plan and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality to address defects, segregate suspect work-in-process or finished goods, and prevent nonconforming products from moving downstream.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance on equipment, tooling or process abnormalities; follow corrective progress and production recovery.
• Oversee material issuance, usage and reconciliation against work orders; report shortages, losses or discrepancies for proper resolution.
• Assign tasks and coach new or reassigned operators; verify understanding of operating requirements before work assignment.
• Monitor attendance, manpower deployment, discipline and staffing gaps during the shift; escalate support needs to management.
• Maintain 5S, workplace safety and shop-floor order; identify hazards, coach operators and escalate matters beyond authority.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports covering output, quality defects, downtime, manpower and material usage, and outstanding actions.
• Coordinate across shifts and functions to ensure production continuity and follow up implementation of shop-floor improvement actions.

Requirements

• Good Chinese proficiency for workplace communication and coordination of shop-floor issues.
